SOMERS, Wis. – Tavian Stewart, a sophomore on the UW-Parkside men's track & field team, was named the GLVC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week after he had an amazing day at the Carthage Private College Invite.

Stewart, a native of Milwaukee, Wis., broke a 43-year old school record in the long jump with a mark of 7.25-meters. The jump, which was his personal best, currently ranks ninth in the nation and first in the conference. This is Stewart's first weekly award from the GLVC.
Parkside track & field is hosting three-straight home events, starting with the Ranger Relays this Friday, Jan. 19 at 2:30 p.m. in Petretti Fieldhouse.
