Taylor Schiffer-Jander scored a first-period goal for Wisconsin-Parkside, but Missouri-St. Louis used two second-period goals to defeat the Rangers 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference women's soccer tournament on Sunday at Don Dallas Field.
Missouri-St. Louis jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute when McKayla Harder scored from 40 yards out.
Wisconsin-Parkside, which ended the season with a 10-6-2 overall record, responded in the sixth minute when Schiffer-Jander got the Rangers on the board. After getting fouled in the box, she converted the penalty kick to tie the game at 1-1 just 6:54 into the match.
Missouri-St. Louis, which improved to 12-3-1 overall, took advantage of a nice finish to go ahead in the 79th minute. Kayla Delgado passed ahead of the defense to Miriam Taylor who lofted the ball over the head of Ranger keeper

Taylor added her second goal of the match in the 89th minute with the Rangers pressing up. She beat Tabalske in a one-on-one situation to up the lead to 3-1.
The Tritons held a 20-12 advantage in shots for the match with the Rangers owning a slim 5-4 lead in corner kicks.

Lexi Porter and
Lauren Bialas each had three shots to lead the Rangers, while Schiffer-Jander finished with two shots and
Taylor Burek had one shot.
Missouri-St. Louis advances to the semifinals of the GLVC Tournament where it will meet Rockhurst on Friday.
