Official USTFCCCA Release
SOMERS, Wis. (May 20, 2013)-- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its All-Region honorees for the 2012-2013 Division II men's outdoor track & field season with the University of Wisconsin-Parkside's
Jesus Escareno securing All-Midwest Region accolades.
The senior earns All-Midwest Region honors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase after running a season best time of nine minutes, 11.35 seconds on May 10 at the Dr. Keeler Last Chance Invitational in Naperville, Ill. His time ranked 23rd nationally and was ranked fourth among competitors in the Midwest Region. Esacerno logged a runner-up finish in the steeplechase at the 2013 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships, a meet that saw the senior compete in five events.
The top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three have earned the All-region distinction for this season. The USTFCCCA regions for track & field match those used for NCAA Cross Country Championships.
