SOMERS, Wis. (Dec. 4, 2012)-- The University of Wisconsin-Parkside women's basketball team was firing on all cylinders on Tuesday night inside DeSimone Gymnasium, nailing its first 15 shots from the floor en route to a 100-28 blowout victory over non-conference foe Finlandia University.

Shooting a scorching 80.6 percent (25-for-31) in opening 20 minutes of play, the 24th-ranked Rangers (4-1) enjoyed a 51-point buffer at the halftime break, holding a comfortable 63-12 lead. UW-Parkside accounted for the first 13 points of the contest and 25 of the first 27 against the Division III Lions (1-4) from Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

UWP continued to outplay Finlandia in the second half, outscoring the visitors 37-16 over the final 20 minutes with 12 of the 13 Rangers seeing action on the court tallying at least a point.
Tara Knapstein came off the bench and led the way with 21 points for UW-Parkside, shooting nine-for-11 from the floor.
