Brent LeVasseur has been named Associate Athletic Director-Compliance at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. His appointment began July 1.
Parkside's new Associate A.D. served as the Compliance Coordinator at NCAA Division I University of San Diego for the last 2 years. LeVasseur also filled the role of Academic Counselor for the women's and men's basketball teams at USD.
Prior to the San Diego post, LeVasseur was the Athletics Ticket Manager at the University of California-Riverside, another NCAA Division I school.
“Brent brings an enthusiastic, student centered, hands on approach to the position,” said UW-Parkside Interim Athletic Director Tamie Falk-Day. “Brent will be an excellent resource and support person for our coaching staff and student-athletes.”
In addition to running all facets of compliance at Parkside, LeVasseur will be in charge of game day operations and will have a supervisory role over Sports Information and Athletic Training. He will participate in all athletic decisions including budgeting, strategic planning, student-athlete welfare and employee relations and will lead the department in the absence of the athletic director.
“I'm very excited to be coming on board at this time,' said LeVasseur. “There are a lot of exciting things going on at Parkside both in terms of the campus and athletics. This is an outstanding opportunity.”
LeVasseur, a Michigan native, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics with a minor in Business at Kalamazoo College. He went on to earn an MBA in Sports Business Management from San Diego State.
