The baseball teams from Wisconsin Lutheran and UW-Parkside got together in Somers for a non-conference doubleheader on a frosty Wednesday afternoon. The games were recently added to the schedule and each team came away with a win.
The Rangers pounded out 15 hits and took advantage of four Warrior errors in a 14-0 win in the opener. The fiesty NCAA Division III club came back to salvage a split with a 5-3 win over the Rangers in Game 2.
Dave Watson had three hits for the Rangers in the opener.
Dustin Kollman was the winning pitcher.
Nick Mishevich pitched the final three innings, preserving the shutout.
Each team had seven hits in Game Two. John Hasser was the only Ranger with a multiple hit game with two.
Jacob Chandler was the starting and losing pitcher. Two of the four runs while he was on the hill were earned.
