The Rangers had little trouble in dispensing of visiting St. Xavier in a women's volleyball non-conference match. The event was contested in Parkside's DeSimone Gymnasium Tuesday night.

Parkside won in three straight sets, 25-20, 25-10, 25-19. The win lofts the Ranger record to a stellar 12-2. The Cougars slipped to 9-6.

The Rangers hit for a .302 percentage, while limiting their guest to just .020. Eight different Rangers had multiple kills in the short match.

Parkside was especially impressive in the second set, when it hit for a .591 percentage.

The team will now face Great Lakes Valley Conference competition. The Rangers will open league play at Saint Joseph's College Friday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. They will then head down I-65 to take on 9th-ranked and undefeated (14-0) Indianapolis Saturday, Sept. 19, at 3:00 p.m.
