Olson
The temperatures cooled off, maybe a little more than the UW-Parkside track team would have liked, but the racing stayed hot on Saturday evening where the Runnin' Rangers competed in the Wisconsin Twilight Meet held at the University of Wisconsin's Dan McLimon Track Stadium.

Whitney Olson was the winner of the first section of the 800m where she ran a time of 2:20.84, which was just .4 off of her best of the season. She earned a 6th place overall finish in the event with that effort.

Jessica Monson did her best to assist teammate Hope Christie by setting a pace that would help her improve on her NCAA Provisional Mark. Monson won the first section with a time of 4:38.37 and Christie was second in 4:44.68, a mark that not improve on her best from last week's GLVC Meet (4:37.52). Heidi Ertl (4:59.79) and Angie Adams (5:01.96) were 4th and 6th in the first section as well, each earning career best times.

RUNNIN' RANGER MEN
Alex Mena ran to an 8th place finish in the the "fast section" of the 1500m Run when he crossed the line with a time of 4:01.86, a career best by 4 seconds in the event. Robert Meyers was 3rd in the first section with a career best time of 4:15.02 and teammates Ben Orvold (4:21.74) and Matt Vidas (4:29.99) ran times equal to their best ever marks.

Laquan Fenderson took charge of the first section of the 800m Run and won that section with a career best mark of 1:57.24. He finished 12th overall out of the 20 runners in the event.

UWP track coach Mike De Witt commented on the Rangers' efforts: "We had an exceptionally good GLVC meet last weekend, with a lot of the team running career best marks along with racing very well. This meet was a little difficult to get into a real strong flow with the chilly temperatures and maybe a little lower keyed meet than we were expecting. The team raced hard and competed well, but I know a lot of the group was looking for faster times to go with their strong efforts. This time of year is more about racing strong and using the fitness that has been built. I am confident that those who will compete once more next week at North Central will run well."
