The UW-Parkside golf team finished in eighth place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference golf meet held at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana. The three-round event saw the Rangers come up with a collective card of 922.
Indianapolis won the event with a low team total of 864. The Greyhounds were 20 strokes better than the second place squad, Northern Kentucky, 884.
The Rangers shot a 304 in the Day 1 first round. UWP carded a 312 in Round 2 and closed the tournament with a 306.
Individually, Andy Hansen was Parkside's best. He finished in a tie for 21st place out of 60 golfers with a score of 76-75-78=229. The course is a par 72 with a distance of 6,897 yards.
Other Ranger golfers included Keith Buntrock, tie for 27th, 77-79-75=231; Bob Tierney, tie for 30th, 77-77-78=232; Mike Keller, tie for 33rd, 75-82-76=233; and Andrew Troyanek, tied for 38th, 76-81-77=234.
