A pair of Brittany's were intstrumental in the Rangers' 85-70 women's basketball victory over Robert Morris in the DeSimone Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

Normally, Brittany Beyer, who had 20 points and 11 rebounds, would be the star of the game. However, Brittany Hogen logged a career high in both scoring and rebounds with an extremely rare, 20-20 game. Hogen tallied 28 points and pulled down a whopping 21 rebounds. In fact, Hogen had her double-double locked up late in the first half.

Both of Hogen's totals are career highs.

Hogen shot 8-16 from the floor and tallied a dozen points at the free throw line on a 12-15 effort. Both Beyer and Hogen had four rebounds on the offensive side of the glass.

The Rangers cleaned up the glass, big-time, grabbing 52 rebounds. The Eagles notched 38 rebounds.

Jessica Harris of Robert Morris led all scorers with 29 points. 

The Rangers led throughout the game and were never seriously threatened. The team led 34-26 at halftime.

UW-Parkside shot 49 percent for the game while limiting the Eagles to 35 percent. Robert Morris was only 4-20 from behind the three-point arc.

The win ups the Ranger record to 7-1. Robert Morris is now 10-5 after beating undefeated Carthage College the previous day. Carthage is nationally ranked in NCAA Division III.

The Rangers will host Cardinal Stritch Sunday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. Both Stritch and Robert Morris are NAIA school who compete in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
