The National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) released its all-region picks for NCAA Division II women's soccer this week. One player from UW-Parkside is on each of the three teams.
Shannon Becker earned first team honors. Becky Zirlin made the grade on the second team and Meredith Novak picked up a third team award.
Becker paced Parkside in total points with 29 on the strength of nine goals and 11 assists. She notched two game-winning goals.
Novak led the Rangers in assists with 12. She found the back of the net eight times which includes a game-winning goal.
Zirlin had 23 total points to her credit on eight goals and seven assists.
The Ranger trio were instrumental in another solid season for the Rangers. The team posted an overall record of 11-4-3.
