Jessica Monson ran her first open 800m of the year, including indoors and it was just .4 of a second off of her best ever school record when she won the event at the North Central College Gregory Last Chance Open. Monson was timed in 2:09.29, which met the NCAA II Automatic Qualifying Standard as well, the third event she has reached the time standard in this year.

The 2008-2009 season was an extremely successful campaign for the UW-Parkside women’s basketball program. The six incoming student-athletes who will be joining the program in the fall also enjoyed great years, adding to the already high-level of excitement for the 2009-2010 season.

Miranda Melville, last year's USA Junior (U20) Race Walker of the Year, completed her first ever 20km Race Walk and earned the qualifying time for this year's championship that will be held at the University of Oregon on June 27th.  She will be joined by teammate Le'erin Voss, who also met the standard for the event. A third member of the UWP program, Erika Lamp, earned a mark in the Junior National Championship, held on the same day in Oregon when she met the standard in her first attempt at the 10 km distance.
