The UW-Parkside wrestling team went 1-2 on the day at the 2012 Ranger Duals in the DeSimone Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. The Rangers opened the event with a 19-13 win over #16 Findlay before dropping a 30-6 decision against 18th-ranked Ashland. UW-Parkside finished the day by falling to Indianapolis in a tight contest 21-19.

The UW-Parkside men's basketball team fell to Bellarmine on Saturday afternoon in Louisville, 99-69. The defending Division II National Champions used a pair of big runs in the second half to pull away from a game Ranger squad.

The UW-Parkside women's basketball team suffered a heartbreaking defeat on Saturday at the hands of Bellarmine University, 82-79. The Rangers held a 22-point lead midway through the first half but saw the Knights get hot in the second half, scoring 53 points in the period, to earn the victory.

The UW-Parkside men's track & field team dominated the long distance events at the Dick Pond Invitational at Lewis University on Friday in Romeoville, Ill. The Rangers had the top six finishers in the 3000 meter run and the top three in the 5000 meter run. No team scores were kept.

Roxanne Stratenwerth and Jessica Watychowicz each won an event for the UW-Parkside track & field team the 2012 Dick Pond Invitational hosted by Lewis University on Friday afternoon.

The UW-Parkside women's basketball team earned one of its biggest road wins in recent memory going to Northern Kentucky and coming away with a 66-60 victory over of the Norse on Thursday night. It was the program's first victory at NKU since January of 2004 as the two teams came into the game in a tie for second place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Eastern Division.
